After a cycle of boom and bust, bike sharing is back on a roll. 

The turf wars and business battles of the early years left the industry’s original big players in ruins, rider numbers falling and millions of bikes rusting.

But the Covid-19 pandemic saw Chinese people avoid public transport like taxis and crowded subways and turn back to bikes. New technology and a more mature approach to competition is helping the industry win back more riders.
