Back the in the late 90s going into the dawn of the millennium, video game systems were pretty much just that, gaming systems. However with the release of the Sony PlayStation 2, it would not only change the video game world, but have an effect on the media world entirely. In this audio essay I talk about how the PS2 was such an instant game changer.
