How Things Have Changed and Advice for Life. An Interview with Dr. Timothy R. Jordan

Listen Later

Dr. Timothy R. Jordan has been alive since January of 1959.  He remembers the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963, the assassination of his brother, Robert F. Kennedy in 1968, the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. also in 1968, and the first U.S. crew to land on the moon in 1969. He participated in the first Earth Day in 1970. Dr. Jordan remembers the “Munich Massacre” at the Munich Olympics in 1972, and Dave Wottle in his famous golf hat winning to gold medal in those same games. He remembers “Secretariat,” the first horse to claim the American Triple Crown in 1973 since “Citation” did it in 1948. Also in the 1973, as a freshman in high school, Dr. Jordan remembers how cold Rossford High School was. He remembers wearing a winter coat and hat in his classes, the letter of your last name used for gasoline rationing, gas stations closing due to not having any gas, and a 55-mile mph speed limit on all highways to save gasoline during Arab Oil Embargo.

Dr. Jordan has lived a long time and experienced many things. He has accumulated much wisdom. Listen as special guest host, Tyrone Layson, interviews Dr. Jordan and learns about how things have changed and his advice for life. Listen and learn!
