Accepting Reality can be so difficult. Have you ever had those moments that you just don't want to accept what is really happening? Or do you struggle to feel like you fit in with those around you?

However, part of accepting your own reality is really embracing that you, and those around you (family, friends, neighbors, etc) are exactly as they're supposed to be. Accepting the personality, characteristics, and circumstances of our lives and the lives of others allows us to live our lives more fully!

When we can accept the reality of whatever situation we are in, and embrace it the best we can, we begin to work towards improving ourselves in that situation.

Accepting Reality This Week

This week one of my kids ended up getting a positive COVID test. It took all of us by surprise. We isolated that child, and worked together to clear the house of germs. Our entire family is in quarantine and have no idea if anyone else has it yet. While we will still be testing periodically ... but it's still a HUGE unknown. If any one else gets it, our quarantine has to start all over again. This has been a hard thing to accept the reality.

The Struggle With Reality

When we decided to be accepting that we'll be missing things, rescheduling things, it became a little easier. It's mostly been hard to accept and learn from on of my kids potentially missing every single night of her school play performances. My son has been working for months at practices and has been so excited about it. We just have to wait to find out the details on IF he can perform. That will hinge on IF no one else gets COVID. We still have 7 more days of hanging out in our house with no outside contact. A lot is still up in the air.
