Esther once had a job where all her ideas were shut down. All she ever got was a lukewarm "Great idea," and after that, silence. Despite this experience, Esther still believes in advocating for yourself. She just learned there are two mechanisms at play when your ideas are dismissed:  Sometimes it's about how you're pitching. You need better data, clearer storytelling, or a different approach for the person you're trying to convince. Other times? The company just isn't built to encourage innovation, ideas and agency.
