The vast majority of students approach GRE problems completely backwards: they spend a lot of time getting into a problem (in the sense of re-reading the problem and thinking through the solution), and not a lot of time getting out of the problem (in the sense of rushing through the actual execution of the solution). At Stellar, we explicitly train students in the opposite approach, namely: getting into problems fast (though diagnosis and continuous solving), and getting out of problems slow (through steady execution and sustained mindfulness). We discuss more in this episode.
