Spring is upon us, but amid all the happier signs of March and April, this time of year can also mark the beginning of of a most unwelcome tradition…Spring Flooding season.
Here’s a few suggestions on how to prepare for the yearly thaw and keep your basement from becoming a swimming pool.
Clear gutters and eavestroughs of leaves and debris.
Make sure downspouts are draining properly and well away from the house (at least 2 feet)
Don’t put grease or objects (diapers, paper towel or wipes) that will get stuck in your drain down the toilet.
