How To Batch Work (A Time Management Secret!)
I’ve been talking to so many mompreneurs and fempreneurs lately on how to better free up their time, and the number 1 issue I’ve come across is that they do not have consistent strategies for content creation.
Winging it with your content creation will not only lead to stress and frustration, but can lead to inconsistency and a lack of inspiration. However, there is an easy fix to this, one that has become a new favorite of mine as of late…….And that my friends….is Batch Working!
Today’s episode dives deep into the world that is batch working. We will be focusing on what batch working is, why you should be doing it, what you can batch work, and beyond! So, grab a cup of coffee, get your pen and paper and let’s get to work!
In this episode, we discuss…
“Multitasking is simply tricking our minds into believing we are being productive...” [1:12]
It ultimately results in us not accomplishing nearly as much as we would if we just single tasked. Multitasking reduces your productivity by 40% and can damage your brain and add raised levels of stress.
“What is batch working?” [3:22]
It can look like assigning specific tasks to certain times of the week or days and ensure that you ditch the task hopping...
“What should you batch?” [5:56]
If it can be batched, then batch it! You can batch everything, from business to household management and beyond!
“If you are completely new to batch working, then start small, as going from...” [9:16]
If you’re only used to writing one piece of content at a time, then the next time add two, and then three...Get consistent at first before adding onto your schedule!
“My batch working process...” [10:23]
You need to write down your entire order of operations for your content creation process so that you can then begin breaking it down into smaller like-minded tasks
