Daniel and his three friends may have been captives, but little did their captors know they were bringing light into their dark kingdom. Christians may feel like captives in the world, but we too are light bearers in the darkness. A heart purposed toward God can discern when that which looks like a blessing is really a trap. It’s vitally important to know that God is on your side. Though God isn’t the cause of or in cahoots with evil He can make a bad situation work to our much good.
