On this Edit, Anna talks to Kasha Mitton and Maggie Aynsley, owners of the MASH Movement, an organization centred around raising funds for Duchenne’s Muscular Dystrophy through the pillars of Movement, Awareness, Service and Health. After the devastating and rare diagnosis Kasha’s family received for her son, Jude, these two powerful women mashed their skills, talents and passions together to begin an advocacy campaign not just for Duchenne’s but for all those who feel alone or lost when faced with life’s biggest challenges. Maggie and Kasha help us to discover our own personal resiliency and cultivate empathy for one another through the sharing of hard truths and Kasha helps us all better understand how to support grieving families as they make their way through the ‘hot soup’ of a rare diagnosis.
