How to be an Early Riser With Schuyler Diehm

Listen Later

Your alarm goes off at 5:30 a.m., the dreaded time reminding you to get up and get ready for work. Sure, you don’t have to wake up at 5:30. You could hit the snooze button a dozen times before you have to be at your job and take the kids to school. But think about it, what could you accomplish in those extra 30 minutes to an hour that you spent sleeping? Would you have more time to be productive for your side business? Would you be able to have some time alone to sit and reflect on the day ahead of your? What would it be like if you had an extra 30 minutes a day to focus on your goals or your passions? The truth of the matter is, we all could use a little extra time to wake up and seize the day.

Our guest this week, mindset coach and host of the Early Risers podcast, Schuyler Diehm helps us understand how a few extra minutes in the morning can change our entire outlook on our day. Schuyler tells us that it’s not necessarily about being an “early riser” as much as it is about getting up a little earlier than you have to every day. A lot of people talk about how they are night owls and can’t fathom getting up before the sun each day. However, Schuyler tells us that even if your job or your lifestyle prevents you from being an early riser, you can still find time to implement small habits when your first wake up to enhance your productivity.
