I know so many of us are now stuck working at home due to this worldwide quarantine, and for some of us, we are living the dream, and getting a sneak peek into what it would be like to work from home, or be a stay at home mom, or retirement, and it feels so good.
However, I know there are others that just cannot wait to get back at work, and there are others that are quickly realizing that working at home is not everything it’s cracked out to be. The world doesn’t stop just because our circumstances have changed. Now more than ever, it’s crucial that you have a gameplan going into each and every day on how you’re going to maximize productivity and see success, and that’s what this episode is all about.
I have compiled my top tips on how to be the productive mama I know you can be while working from home, and I’m super excited to share them with you, and hopefully they are easily implementable and you can begin seeing a difference in your productivity right away!
In this episode, we discuss…
“Stop drop and clean for 5-10 minute periods throughout the day...” [ 3:38]
And if you don’t stay on top of this throughout the day, then you are going to face a catastrophic war zone at the end of the day, feel absolutely defeated, and want to throw in the towel.
“Actually get dressed and get ready for the day.” [5:18]
If we show up to work in our pajamas and our morning bed head, then we are subconsciously allowing ourselves not to get any work done, and undermining the importance of work, and undermining ourselves essentially.
“Structure your day and work in time blocks” [7:08]
Yes, technically you have more time, BUT we need to be spending our time wisely, and still making time for all of the different aspects of our day, and a really great way to do that and stop yourself from working all day long, is through the use of time blocks.
“Schedule out white space during your day.” [12:20]
This is typically a break or transition from block to block. It’s extra time that you are adding in, because we all know that kids are unpredictable.
