This episode’s guest is Katie Carodine, from Katie Carodine Photography. Katie is based out of Oregon, with a background in art that influences her wedding photography. She loves to include costumes, makeup and themes in her wedding photography, and creates an experience beyond just photos. Katie shares her creative works on her website and on Instagram.

Do You Need to be an Extrovert to be Successful?

Lynn and Mark share that you don’t have to be an extrovert to have a successful marketing campaign. In fact, digital marketing is a great way to get your message out without having to speak to someone face-to-face. But getting in front of people is important, and Lynn recommends going to events or expos in order to practice being an extrovert, sometimes.

Not everyone feels like a natural-born salesperson, but Mark says that it’s important to acknowledge the value in your own unique perspective. He recommends looking at digital marketing in the terms of what effort or information you can provide as a business, and helping guide others in the process.

How To Market Your Brand as an Introvert

Lynn says that a recognizable brand personality is the key to a successful digital marketing campaign, regardless of whether you’re an introvert or extrovert. There will always be people who are more attracted to your brand than others, and that’s fine.

Mark’s advice is to look at avenues or channels that work for you. Search for your strengths rather than weaknesses. If you’re uncomfortable in front of a camera but love to write, lean on blogs and emails as a way to make your brand voice heard. The goal is to identify who you serve best, and how you can best help them with your business.
