In Acts 11, the church at Antioch lived out their faith in ways that were a dramatic departure from their own cultural norms. But to sustain such counter-cultural living for the sake of the gospel requires more than simple behavior modification—it requires a living hope. Anything less, and our new ways of living will fade into old habits, and we will miss out on the abundant life God means for us to live.
