DSRX Conscious Dominance

How to be Trustworthy as a Dominant Man

Listen Later

In this episode of Conscious Dominance, Eric shares the story of his recent surfing accident. And in a very honest, raw, and vulnerable conversation, we look into the ways that our roles as Dominants in our D/s relationships requires a high level of trustworthiness out of us. And this goes far beyond the basics of trust. In order for our submissives to fully surrender into us, they need to feel that they can trust us on every level. Down to the ways that we preserve, take care of and value ourselves...because if we don't take care of ourselves, it also shows our lack of respect for her and the dynamic. She can't let go into us if she can't trust that we'll be there for her. A submissive woman NEEDS her Dominant, and we take care of ourselves in part because we want to be able to be there to provide and protect her. We also get into how we build trust by the way we show up and respond to challenges, and why it's challenging for Dominant men to ask for help. This is the deepest and most vulnerable conversation we've ever had, and we truly hope you enjoy it.

The Conscious Dominance podcast was born from weekly conversations between two friends, Andrew & Eric.

Every week, we would connect and talk about the ways that our roles as Dominants in long term, loving Dominant/submissive relationships were calling us to higher integrity, and demanding the absolute best from each of us as men. And in those conversations, we realized how much other men might benefit from being let in on these conversations. So we started recording them for you.
