Jemiah Fields is a 19-year-old creative photographer based in Atlanta, Georgia. She is a scopio contributor whose photos were chosen by Penguin Random House and got featured in black author’s books such as Obama’s book by Barack Obama, Zade Smith Grand union, How to be an anti-racist by Ibram X Kendi, the Transcendent Kingdom by Yaa Gyasi, Dear Martin by Nic Stone, I know why the caged bird sings by Maya Angelou, Miracle at St. Anna by James Mcbride, The vanishing half by Brit Bennett, and Between the world and me by Ta Nehisi Coates. Jemiah speaks of her experience shooting the chosen images with her family, she also shares her excitement about being featured in 50 Cent’s blog, this is 50. Jemiah mentions how winning a photo contest organized by the Boys & girls Club boosted her confidence and allowed her to make connections. That organization supports her a lot and still does. Jemiah’s ultimate dream is to be a published photographer whose work is instantly known.
