HOW TO BECOME A STRONG CHRISTIAN

Bishop introduced his message by recalling his experience in the secondary school where seniors bully and torture the juniors with all sorts of punishments but he observed that not every junior is a victim of the wicked treatment seniors meted out to them. The weak and fragile juniors were the very ones who were constantly bullied but not so with the strong and energetic looking juniors.

Bishop explained here that the lesson to be picked is that the devil is always looking for opportunities to destroy, steal and kill Christians who are weak and not strong in the Lord hence the need to share this important message- what it means to be strong Christian.

1. Be filled with the Holy spirit. Ephesians 5:18

Luke 11:13 Just ask God to be filled with the Holy spirit and you will receive it.

2. Feed on the word of God

Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Acts 20:32

And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.

3. You must be a prayerful Christian.

4. Always be in church and fellowship

5. Be active in the work of the Lord

1Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. to be strong
