As an Airbnb host for 5+ years, I've got my fair share of crazy stories. However, it also made SO much more possible, including
funding family travel, keeping us
financially afloat while my husband was in grad school, and
allowing me to stay home to raise our kids. While many short-term rentals are managed by property managers, Airbnb is unique in that
anyone can rent out any space they own (subject to local laws). That means it's a totally viable option for moms, as long as they're willing and able to put in the work and deal with some discomfort.
In this episode, we cover:
- Questions you should ask yourself to see if Airbnb hosting is a good fit for you and your family
- How you can make the best match between your space and your ideal guest's needs
- Why keeping your listing detailed and honest is incredibly important
- The tools I used to get realistic pricing
- What to do 1) Before listing, 2) Before the guest arrives, and 3) After the guest leaves, to make the whole transaction as headache-free as possible
