Mukai Maromo is a former Muay Thai & MMA fighter turned entrepreneur, operating out of Edmonton Alberta. Born and raised in Harare, Zimbabwe, Mukai attended university at Livingstone University, located in Salisbury NC, on a track & field and academic scholarship. Upon migrating to Canada in 2005, Mukai discovered the art of Muay Thai and proceeded to drop out of University in order to pursue a career as a Muay Thai fighter.

After a decorated career as a professional Muay Thai and MMA fighter, Mukai turned his sights to the world of entrepreneurship. Over the past five years he founded and co-founded four successful businesses that are currently thriving in the Edmonton business landscape.

Today, Mukai’s efforts are primarily focused in aiding the growth and popularity of martial arts in Edmonton and Alberta through the Edmonton Combat League, Edmonton’s number one home for the best Muay Thai & Kickboxing events, as well as offering his services as a marketing consultant through SPARQ Media, a consultancy he launched after exiting VIVA VOCE. Over the years Mukai has worked with many local start ups, as well as established corporate entities as a marketing consultant. Mukai also works part time as studio coach at Archetype , located inside the JW Marriot.
