Would you like to discover how to build, buy and scale consumer brands globally? In this week's episode, our guest, Malte Karstan gives a closer look at the background of BBG (Berlin Brands Group), and how they were able to maximize the potential outset of the Amazon platform on their own websites, and other marketplaces in Europe and internationally. He also touches on what happens post-acquisition with the brands they buy, and who is responsible to see the growth of those brands long-term. Listen and enjoy!
After his first sales experience on eBay in 1998, Malte became quickly fascinated by the market-places Amazon and Alando. On the direct path to becoming an eBay platinum power seller, his business grew rapidly nationally, but internationalization and expansion were particularly appealing to him. Represented on platforms and marketplaces in over 60 countries, his products reached customers in 170 countries around the world. In 2018 he sold his companies and since then is part of BBG.
