Building a business requires A LOT of work, but when it aligns with your values and integrates well with your desired lifestyle, it can be really fun. 


Emily McDonald started Stylist LA out of a rolling rack in her living room in 2009. She raised venture capital and grew it to be a 7-figure business, before pivoting in 2020 to an online business.


Ankita Terrell was a fellow in venture capital and has worked across venture-backed startups, a massive analytics firm, and with non-profits. She’s directed millions of dollars of funding towards socially conscious businesses working with companies such as Google, Microsoft, S&P, and others.


Now they are both co-founders of My Founder Circle, a community that supports female founders while they start, grow, and scale their companies.
