  • Many of us are not taught about how our minds work. Everything starts in your mind.
  • Mindset either makes or breaks people. It either helps them achieve their dreams or keeps them stuck in their place.
  • The fear of the unknown is what’s holding you back.
  • Only you can know what you truly want and what’s causing you trouble in life. What you do about that is up to you.
  • People have 6,000 to 8,000 thoughts a day subconsciously. Over 80% of those thoughts are negative—it is not because you are a bad person or your brain doesn't like you. Your brain is designed to look out for threats and survive while constantly looking at what's in front of you and matching it to what happened in the past, predicting what may happen to you in the present.
  • Your thoughts are not yours. They are passed down to you or remodeled around you.
  • Getting present creates a space for you to observe your thoughts, and it gives you the chance to redirect your attention to something you want to do.
  • You don’t have to accept what’s going on in your life. You absolutely can change things, and you have to start thinking differently.

 

Hack: Every strategy out there works no matter what you do, but the thing is, you need to recognize what is going to work for you. It comes down to trusting and knowing yourself.
