How To Build Trust With Your Audience | Ep 66

Listen Later

All right. So let's dive in. So, um, how do you build trust with your audience in the past? I would. Okay. Like I talk about not harvesting email addresses from arbitrary websites or vendors who sell actual email addresses of, um, millions of people that there was a time where, uh, someone sold me a database of over 300,000 email addresses.

I checked it out and I. My, my own email was in that database. And I said, well, this is legit. And, um, I was excited. I wanted to jump right out there and start using it, you know, but. I found out that that doesn't work. You don't just pick up email addresses. I started sending arbitrary email to total strangers who don't know you.

And, um, one time someone, uh, sent a reply to me to ask. Okay. So why did you get my email from? And we had the nice conversation. I think we even jumped on the call and we talked for a bit and the Fox was that, um, You know, the response that you get from email lists that you do not generate, honestly, with your own content, uh, is really very shallow.

You don't, no matter how much you, uh, use a click bits where the title for your subjects. Yeah. Um, people still look at the sender's ID and they're like, I don't know this person. I don't want to open this. And with the consciousness that we all have, um, for more, um, security in, uh, use of the internet, uh, emails right now that are being sent.
