Anyway, I never would have stuck at being a PT had I not developed a way to overcome some of the challenge I talk about in this podcast. In overcoming them I'm now able to share a framework for how I've managed to overcome the social and confidence challenges I've faced.

Key Framework for Building Confidence:

1. Clarity

  • Understand exactly where you lack confidence
  • Be specific on what you want to be confident in
  • Recognise confidence comes with practice

2. Have a Plan

  • Make it a habit
  • Start small actions to build a good foundation
  • Make sure it challenges you to get out of your comfort zone

3. Take Consistent Action

  • Focus on simple actions
  • Consistency builds muscle memory and reduces anxiety
  • Focus on showing up regularly, not just outcomes
