How to Create a Group on Threads Social

Open the Threads App:

Launch the Threads app on your smartphone or tablet.

Log In (if not already):

If you're not logged in, enter your Threads account login credentials (email/phone and password) and tap "Log In."

Access Your Chat Inbox:

On the Threads app's home screen, tap the chat bubble icon or swipe right to access your chat inbox. This is where you'll create and manage your groups.

Start a New Chat:

To create a group, tap the pencil or "New Chat" icon. This typically looks like a square with a "+" or a pen icon.

Select Participants:

You'll be prompted to select participants for your group. Tap the names of the friends or contacts you want to include in the group. You can add multiple participants.

Create a Group Name (Optional):

Optionally, you can create a name for your group. This name will help you and your group members easily identify the chat. If you don't set a name, Threads may use the names of the participants as the group name.

Start the Group Chat:

After selecting participants and, if desired, naming the group, tap the "Start" or "Create" button. This will initiate the group chat.

Customize Group Settings (Optional):

Depending on the app version and features available, you may have options to customize group settings. This could include setting a group profile picture or adjusting notifications.

Begin Chatting:

Once the group chat is created, you and your selected participants can start sending messages, photos, videos, status updates, and more within the group.

Manage Your Group:

You can manage your group by tapping the group's name or icon within your chat inbox. Here, you can add or remove participants, change the group's name or profile picture, and adjust settings as needed.
