Welcome to the Smash system podcast. I’m your host, Nino Prodan. And in this episode, I want to talk to you about how to create a relationship with your clients. And there may be a word that you’re familiar with in this regard, but don’t consider it creating a relationship with your clients. And that’s marketing. And before I started my coaching business, I used to look at marketing as a bad thing. It was a bad word to me. To me, it felt like someone out there trying to just convince me to give them my money. And I thought of marketing is sleazy. I thought of it as something that wasn’t good. And then when I tried to do it, of course, that’s the intent I brought to the interaction. And if marketing is a bad thing to you, you’re not going to want to do it. You’re not going to thrive in your business, because marketing is essential. But what I want you to do is start to look at marketing as something different. It’s not asking people to buy from you. It’s creating a relationship with your potential customers, your current customers, and maintaining that relationship. Because that’s what marketing is these days. Yeah, before it used to be something else, where it was basically people trying to take your money or convincing you to give them your money. But the internet and social media has created an environment where marketing can be something else. It can be something more. You know, what brands were back in the day is what marketing is now and that’s creating trust. You create a relationship with your customers, so that you have their trust so that they know when they do give you their money, that they’re getting something valuable in return. And it’s not them giving you money. It’s an exchange and exchange of money for the value that you will give them nobody’s losing out on this trend. Action they’re gaining from your product or service, and you’re gaining their money in return. It’s a win win situation that you’re creating. No one’s losing out. No one’s taking advantage of the other. It’s just an exchange of value for value. And once you realize that, that’s what marketing is. Once your brain starts to acknowledge that that’s what marketing is, it starts to become easier, it starts to become something you might possibly even look forward to doing because that that’s what happened to me. I hated marketing. I hated the whole concept of marketing. And then I changed my mindset on it. And it’s something that I actually enjoy doing now. It’s something that I have fun with. And it’s something where I get to share who I am both in what I want in life, and my quirky personality and the funny things that I do. Which I’m still working on, including in this podcast. So change your perspective of marketing. It’s a relationship that you build with your customers to build trust, so that you can both exchange value with each other. I’m Nino Prodan. And I’ll talk to you tomorrow.
