Creating abundance is not always done with smart business decisions, wise investments and betting on the right horse at the track. While those things may be part of making financial gains because they demonstrate belief in the act of trying to get more money, you don't have to have money to start creating abundance.

If that goes against most teachings when it comes to money, especially the cliché that to make money you have to spend money, then it's time to start looking at money and prosperity differently. In those examples, every act required money to begin with. But if you look closer, they have something else in common.

In each of those acts the person is basically acting on faith that they can benefit from what they are doing. The person who bets on a horse has faith that his horse can win and give him a financial gain. The person who invests in a business or in the stock market has faith that the decision can make him money.

Everyone is aware that there is a risk in using these methods to create abundance. However, they do so with the faith that it can work for them, and with the hope that it will. It is that act of faith and that belief that is far more important in these examples than the fact that they had money to lose to begin with.

Not everyone who makes a risky business decision profits financially. And not every horse can win. So there is no way that all people, no matter how much belief they have, can make money this way. However, creating abundance in your own life is possible, and it does not require, as in the case of the better horse, that others lose so that you can win.

Most important is the belief that the universe provides in abundance. There is more than enough for everyone. No one has to go hungry so that another can eat; no one has to lose so that another can gain. There is enough for everyone, but everyone doesn't know it and so many have to have little.

Once you begin to believe that there is enough for you without that meaning there is less for someone else, then you free the way for you to begin to create abundance in your life. And once you believe that you don't need to spend money to make money, you have removed another obstacle that holds many back.

Simply by allowing yourself to see money and prosperity differently, and choosing to believe that what you think about can affect what you have, you can change your life. If you think positive thoughts, you will attract positivity. If you allow yourself to believe that you can have what you want, you open the door to getting it.

Practice every day deciding that you can have the things you believe you can have. Using positive thinking and this type of belief are the most important steps to creating abundance in your life.
