One of the keys to successfully working at home, in addition to self-discipline and a strong Wi-Fi connection, is a comfortable and convenient workspace. And no, the sofa does not count. Before choosing a place to work, consider the type of work:  are you drawing, creating spreadsheets, handling academic tasks, or taking business calls.

When creating your workplace, consider what type of environment you work best in. You may need total privacy, a little background noise, or access to the kitchen for coffee.

Change your work area to your favorite place. If it is a bedroom, consider painting it your favorite color and make sure there is good lighting. Also, invest in an ergonomically correct chair and keep your computer at eye level.

Light up your space with greenery, hang a favorite piece of art, install speakers, use a proper desk pad, or bring a fan or small space heater. Your workspace sets the mood for getting things done, so you want it to be a comfortable and inspiring place.
