Dr. Shira A. Ackerman has her Ph.D. in Applied Behavior Analysis from Columbia University, ten years of experience in the field of Behavior Analysis, and twenty-plus years of experience as an Educator (Preschool through Graduate School; Special Education, General Education, University Level). Dr. Ackerman is the Co-Founder & CEO for Creating Young Minds and the CYM Undiscovered League. She works with the families of all the young men, monitors their education both in high school and college, and has built relationships with community members in the Dallas Fort Worth area, as well as with many college coaches and NBA/GLeague/NBL Executives. Dr. Ackerman uses her academic expertise to help the young men in the program to grow and develop on and off the court. She monitors their academics, tutors them, communicates with high schools, and supervises the young men attending the year-round academy.
