Life is filled with vampires.  

People walking around drunken and disorderly. 

Doing drugs. 

People simply going nowhere in their lives. 

In the early part of my career, I wanted to help people like this.....Church the unchurched. 

But what I learned was most people don't want to change. 

They want excuses. 

They want to consider themselves losers. 

They want to be married to their bullshit. 

No matter what tools I gave them, they kept choosing to go back to their old selves. 

I had to cut ties with them. 

These people were paying me to help them, but because they didn't want to do the work, I had to cut ties with them. 

It was like breaking up with someone. 

I've had the same conversation with some of my employees. 

Our values simply didn't align. 

When that happens, you have to reevaluate where you are in life and ask if you're thriving or being drained by a vampire. 

Life is short. 

But it goes quick when people drain you of your life source.
