David McNeill always had a passion for the Japanese language and culture. When he was 26 years old, he finally left his home country to live in Japan and it didn't disappoint! He had the time of his life.

Since then, David also lived in Berlin, Germany, and currently has a home base in Porto, Portugal. After all these moves, he knows a thing or two about expat life, which is why he founded Expat Empire.
