When it comes to new political leaders, venturing a business, or moving to a new state, there’s a lot of uncertainties that come with it. Tons of fear that can affect productivity.
When you look at the people who always takes these risks you’ll see they are calm, they give hope because they believe that everything is going to be ok.
So what are the things that these kinds of people are able to tolerate the uncertainties of life?
*One thing is to communicate*
Which is biggest problem to any kind of relationship, to your people, to the ones you love. Don’t lie or any kind of dishonesty as a role model, you need to have credibility.
Which leads to *telling people what you know*
The scary thing about uncertainties is the lack of information because if we had it, there wouldn’t be any uncertainties. This benefits everyone from anxiety and stress.
But what if you don’t have any information? *Then tell people what you don’t know.*
People will open up about their information with you if you just ask. Knowledge is power and helps to research what potential information others might have.
Also *telling them when you do know* by providing a timeline of expectations. As you see communicating a back in forth of information eases both sides wether you’re in management or with a life partner.
*Have a game plan you can stick with*
If you want to be leader, you need a plan. It better be easy to follow if you want others to follow it as well. If it makes sense then you shouldn’t have too much problems. This factors in trust which is sacred in keeping calm.
*Get other’s opinions*
It’s ok to not have all the answers, but you need to know where to look for them.
While other look up to for answers, they themselves might not have it, that’s why it’s important to use all information possible.
When asking for input, look for a better or an alternative solution.
*Flexibility is a must*
Because there’s a lot you may not know about means you’re going to be changing directions or mindset when you do acquire more information.
Keep an open mind about where you want to be because how you’re getting there most likely won’t be how you
*Stay Positive*
Having confidence is one of the great personality traits you could have. *Confidence in the leader is crucial during times of uncertainty.*
Confidence projects a sentimental protection and builds upon trust. You ned to push fears behind you and share your confidence with others.
When I instruct to a high school class on a design project, I have to be confident in how this will be done or everyone is going to be frightened about it.
*Don’t forget about the small wins*
It helps to identify what a small win is. These are small celebratory achievements that boosts morale that your uncertainty isn’t something to be feared.
You got on your flight on time, you found a great local restaurant, or you made a new friend should all be celebrated.
*Be the rock*
Lastly when it comes to being by yourself, you might have to be the rock. What I mean is, you have to be the realistic and level headed in facing fears.
This also means leading with your head and not on hunches. There is a self mantra that you can do it by yourself.
Uncertainties can be scary, but can also be exciting. You only live once so might as well make it your best.
