It may seem simple to encourage people to go to Heaven, but sometimes that message is not so clear.
In many cases, churches today garble the message compared to the pristine message of the first century. The underlying theme of every doctrine and concept was the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus, not social justice or “health and wealth”.
What We See Today Has Not Always Been
When Paul wrote to the church in Corinth he decided to only know and discuss the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. He wanted to encourage them to search out the truth found in that sacrifice. But there is a caveat. He went on in that book to discuss many other topics. So what did he mean?
He obviously connected everything in life to that one three-day event. Reality changed by the death and resurrection of Jesus and that affected every part of life! Paul’s role as an Apostle of Jesus was to show HOW that event changed life and encourage people to pursue that new life.
Christians should have the same message today.
What You’ll Learn in This Episode
In this episode you’ll learn about some of the distractions in the religious world as well as where the focus should be. For example, how does the death and resurrection of Jesus affect marriage? You’ll see exactly what it takes to properly encourage someone to go toward Heaven and the three parts to that encouragement process.
You’ll also learn that we must stand for something, not just stand against something.
This is a continuation from the previous episode about the power of a well-placed invitation.
