Most of the time you do the things you do in life because of the way you want to feel. You want to feel happy, or accomplished or excited.
On the other hand often we don't achieve the things we want, because achieving it and doing the actions that are necessary to achieve it, just feels too awful.
When we start feeling awful, we may do external things to make us feel better like buying a new dress or buffer with food or alcohol.
How great would it be if we could manage our feelings so we can feel better more of the time AND not let the bad feelings get in the way of our dreams.
