Alyssa Goessler is a VP at a Private Equity firm and formerly a Senior Analyst at McKinsey where she specialized in the space industry. In this episode we chat about navigating male dominated fields with authenticity and finding our style, both in workwear and navigating conflict at work.
If you have a passion that makes you the one or only in a room, and are or have navigated corporate bullies with resilience, grit and grace, this episode is for you.
Prior to joining McKinsey Alyssa completed two Master's degrees at UT Austin: one in Middle Eastern Studies with a concentration in Arabic and second in Global Policy Studies with a concentration in space policy at LBJ School of Public Affairs.
During her time at UT, Alyssa served as a graduate research intern at CSIS's Aerospace Security Project and a senior brumley fellow at the Strauss Center's Space Security, Safety, and Sustainability Program. Before beginning graduate school, Alyssa worked at the Mission of Jordan to the United Nations and in the Executive Office of the Council on Foreign Relations.
She completed her bachelor's in Social Sciences and Arabic at the University of Oregon's Clark Honors Program.
