Learning how to forgive, is key to your spiritual growth, and your communion with God.
Romans 12:9-14 in the New American Standard Bible (NASB) says:
"9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; 11 not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; 12 rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer, 13 contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality. 14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse."
This passage from the Bible emphasizes the importance of genuine love, compassion, and kindness among believers. It encourages Christians to love sincerely, avoid evil, and hold onto goodness. This passage also promotes unity within our community, urging us to care for one another and to maintain devotion to God through prayer and service. The final verse advises blessing those who persecute you rather than seeking revenge.
