Athletes have been the cash cows and lifeblood for colleges across the country. While student-athlete live in harsh conditions, they have helped to make billions of dollars for football, basketball, and other sports programs at these institutions of higher learning.

 

However, the NCAA recently changed the rule regarding college athletes making money off of their Name, Image, and Likeness. This has truly leveled the playing field for college athletes and for lesser-known schools to compete for top talent.
