Today we are joined by Eva Sachs, B. Comm., CFP®, CDFATM, CFDS, a Divorce Financial Analyst and she is speaking to us about how to get more out of your finances during a divorce.
Divorce, or separation, can be a very emotional time for everyone involved and our finances are a BIG part of that stressor. Eva is often met with clients who are surprised by their financial situations and are anxious about what to do next and what to expect.
However she has a number of recommendations that you can follow during this time that don't involve lawyers or HUGE shifts - her careful navigation of this situation makes it much easier to go from "I don't know what to do", to "I have all of the information I need to make a clear decision."
About Eva:
Eva Sachs is a Certified Financial Planner and a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst. With over 15 years experience, she is a trusted resource dealing with the financial issues related to divorce. Eva works with clients whether they are in traditional negotiations, mediation or collaborative practice, providing financial support to clients and their lawyers from the information gathering stage to preparing projections based on settlement options. She is retained as the financial neutral for couples or a financial advocate for either client.
She is the founder of Eva Sachs Consulting, a fee-based divorce consulting practice. She is a member of Collaborative Practice Toronto and International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. She is part of “The Mediation Team”, an online team mediation group. She is the co-author of the book ‘When Harry Left Sally – Finding your way through Grey Divorce’.
