How to get rid of shame and guilt

This podcast is result of my journey from religion to relationship, knowledge to understanding, and pride to submissive humility under the law of love in Christ Jesus.After thirty-three years of trying to fit God into my life, and struggling with the same issues over and over again, I had come to a point of complete brokenness. I did not trust God, I did not trust myself, and I did not trust anyone else. I tried to live up to a standard I couldn’t achieve and a character I could never possess. Even though I knew my God was real, His words were true, and His way was right, it all fell flat, like a note played in the wrong key during an orchestral crescendo.On January 9, 2015, I had a supernatural “come to Jesus” moment and, while that is not what this podcast is about, what followed is. My spiritual eyes were opened, and as I began to read the Scriptures and engage in an ongoing relationship with God, I realized that He is not the center of life, but Life itself. God the Father created all life and was with the “Word” (Jesus) in the beginning (see John 1:1–5) as the Spirit hovered over the waters (Genesis 1:2). God is not just the beginning of life; He is life—as Jesus, the manifest will of the Father in the flesh proclaimed over and over again.As I began to walk and live out this life, God gave me a new mindset centered on thinking and living out who He is in and through me. This is a place of peace, joy, and power. It’s a place of trust, confidence, and intimacy with God—a daily supernatural, living reality. The amazing thing about all of this is we can live in this place all the time. Regardless of our circumstances, regardless of how others define us, and regardless of our past and even future mistakes, anyone who believes can live in this place.This podcast is a compilation of my personal thoughts and excerpts from my personal journey and ongoing relationship with Him. It is centered on the things He has spoken to me as I discover who He has made me, and who He has called me out to be. It is about a journey, an ever-growing, ever-expanding discovery of who He is and what He has done. This book is not intended to be a doctrinal exposition on the Bible, a commentary, or a theological essay, but a window into my journey. This journey has led me to freedom I have never experienced before, love beyond my wildest dreams, and healing deeper than I ever thought possible. I have walked smack into the middle of miracles, fallen into grace, and run into forgiveness all because of this journey and the amazing love of a God who loves me like a father and sees me like a son.This truth and freedom is not just for me, but for every child of God, everyone who places their hope and faith in the personhood of Christ. I hope that as you listen to these thoughts, they will push you deeper into your own living, breathing, thriving relationship with Christ. That you are transformed by the renewing of your mind. That your own journey begins to unfold before you, and that you take everything I write to your Teacher who leads you into all truth, the Holy Spirit, that your mind might be the mind of Christ.
