Sign Up Here! $75 Annual Membership $8 Monthly Membership OUTLINE:   Question from Scott    Went to a pretty good training class over the weekend.  I noticed that the instructors focus most of their attention on the students that needed the most work. How do "better" shooters get the help they want in a class?   We always want to get the most  expensive  time-consuming  ammo  travel    What you can do  be ready  Sleep and travel  read course description  make a checklist of what to bring and bring extra everything  know the area, map study and driving lost at a class in houston  open mind parachute  prepare to listen and not talk  objective to do something during the class  go out to dinner with other class members    Specific advice  New Shooter / First Class  go at your pace  learn as much as you can  dont worry that you arent learning everything  be safe, go slow, enjoy being in the range with other shooters  middle of the class  Try and push yourself for speed once you got the techniques  most important part go slow and learn the techniques then work on speed set an object of learning as many different techniques as you can, ones you don't know already  meet people to hang out with and become friends with  enjoy yourself, be safe  Advanced students  be ready mentally for what course you are taking  ask specific questions about the technique you are being taught learn the techniques being taught even if you can shoot faster another way  go slow and get the techniques perfect, especially when you see the instructor watching you specifically  get in as many reps as possible at everything  volunteer for everything  no stories, and no helping unless specifically asked  no reprimanding the instructor in front of his students for just about anything, be a pro do it one on one on the side  get coaching from the instructor    Thanks for listening, don’t forget to check out the Shooter’s Club, and if you need ammo check out Lucky Gunner.
