The U.S. Government reports that approximately 18 percent of the U.S. population is covered by Medicare, the federal health insurance program for people 65 or older.  Medicare has been a lifeline, but it can be confusing.  The federal government mandates every state to have an agency devoted to helping Medicare recipients navigate Medicare.

Jeanie Schepisi is a field manager for the agency in North Carolina, charge with helping Medicare recipients in that state to get the most out of their insurance.  Mrs. Schepisi joins Dr. Bland for an informative conversation that takes a national view on how to get the most out of Medicare.
