How To Get What You Want - A Powerful Lesson In LEVERAGE [#327]
I was standing there in line TERRIFIED wondering if I would make it inside the bar in time to use the bathroom…OR would the “clock strike zero” and I’d be totally embarrassed in front of my friends and EVERYONE I passed downtown Chicago that day for the REST of the day...it might not sound like a big deal EXCEPT I was downtown Chicago in the middle of the day on St. Patrick’s Day ☘️ waiting in line at a PACKED bar… so I had no access to a change of clothes… and I DESPERATELY needed the bathroom.
The line wasn’t moving AT ALL… and even if it was, we were WAY at the back of the line…
I estimated it was going to take another 30-40 minutes for us to get inside, at the rate the line was moving. And I also estimated that I only had another 2-3 minutes I could “hold it” before I needed the bathroom…
Do the math on that (carry the one…🤔) and you can tell, I didn’t have time to wait…
I was running all the scenarios in my head as quickly as possible…
“Was there another place nearby I could get in quicker? … But what if I left this line just to get into another line where I’d still have to wait???…”
I was getting more nervous by the SECOND…
Then, I learned a PROFOUND lesson in “leverage”….
This is the story of what transpired and the VITAL lesson I gained that I wanted to share with you…
