How to greet and introduce yourself in Korean?

Hi everybody! 안녕하세요! 여러분

I want to share what I learned with the Korean class.

Formal way to say Hello! In Korean:

안녕하세요!

A more formal way to say hi or hello:

안녕하심니까

Younger generations or people of the same age can simply say hello using: 안녕

안녕하세요! 저는로즈 린이에요 Hi! I’m Rose Lin.

저 – means “I”

는 – topic marker

To introduce yourself in Korean, say your last name first, then your first name.

You say “저는 +Name+예요/이에요.

We add 예요 to the last syllable of the name if there is no final consonant, otherwise, we add 이에요.

제 이름은로즈린이에요 which means “My name is Rose Lin”

I'm Lee Minho…..저는 이민호여요.

I’m Jong Suk….. 저는 종석이에요

My name is Hyun Bin …..내 이름은 현빈이에요

My name is Bae Suji 제 이름은 배수지예요

Korean Vocabulary:

이름 in English it is “name”

뭐예요 if we translate it in English, it mean “What or What is it”

이름이뭐예요 in English it means “ What’s your name?”
