How to handle conflicts peacefully

Listen Later

We all have our own opinions. When they differ, conflicts can happen.

How do you handle it?  What does the Word say about it?

Conflicts can happen in relationships with a friend, spouse, co-worker, mom, dad, adult child, social media friend. We're talking about many scenarios, situations, and conflict resolution examples in today’s episode.

There are many great scriptures relating to this topic that we’re diving into today. Hear them and tools to help in conflict resolution.

Discussion:

  • What can trigger conflicts? Being treated unfairly, unmet expectations, false claims, and so many more. We can have high emotions in conflict, too.
  • Let’s be real: there is a spiritual battle going on. What examples did Jesus give us to follow?
  • Should we walk away in conflict? When should we walk away? What are some peaceful tools you can use: Listening. Empathizing. Being Humble.
  • How can God help us in conflict resolution?  What you can do: Talk to him, pray to him, ask him. He’s here for us.

We have two ears and one mouth - what does that mean? Spoiler: We should listen twice as much as we speak!

Peace, Words, Love, Forgiveness, and Being Fearful: Find many scriptures to help you through conflicts - and find joy!
