D & B sit down with Gabriel Ajak, a program analyst for FEMA and a refugee from the civil war in South Sudan. We speak of how he navigated these complex systems, maintained a sense of hope and self-determination, and found his calling in civil service. He hopes his story brings hope for youth currently dreaming of immigrating to the United States and compassion for those in the US who can support refugee resettlement.
