Nice book based on a great idea.
I thought this was a great concept right from the start. As a father of three, I am flooded with technology all over my house. I have iPads, iPods, Playstations, Nintendos, Wiis and every handheld version of those that are available. We have had moments where we sit together in the same room, all of us on our phones or devices, and donât speak to each other for 10 minute periods. Itâs crazy. The concept that this book is based upon is wonderful.
I would have liked to have had a little more written about how to get your family to go along with the idea that they should put down the technology for a minute so they could all reconnect. That is the hill that I see as the toughest to climb. As far as the rest of the ideas, I loved the last one. I gave this book to my wife, so weâll see if the last set of ideas has merit very soon. The part about engaging in sports and outdoor activities was something that hit home for us as well. Nice book based on a great idea.

First off, I must say the title of the book gave me a chuckle because one must have access to the internet to even get this book.
All the ideas came straight from the internet. Now I guess you could read a book to your partner, while camping in the woods. Oh and on taking care of a pet, if you have a pet please take care of it, with or without the internet.
This book is commonly known as a scamlet. The author has it set up where it automatically opens to 11% so he gets paid for borrows rather you actually read this book or not.
If you want some giggles, pick this book up on the free days. Do not waste your money buying it.

Iâve noticed at more than one family gathering that adults and kids alike have their faces in their phones or video games. There are some good ideas here for enjoyable things to do with your time that may have been neglected or forgotten with all the technology-based entertainment available now. Most of the suggestions presented here can be done alone or with others, and many are free. Good stuff.
Time to re-connect with home
I'm a big fan of technology but some times it seems as if we spend too much time connected to another world and not our home world. This is a very clever idea for a book and something I will be trying out with the younger people in my family over the holidays. Time to re-connect with home.
Information Too Obvious
Very simple ideas that anyone can do. Nothing here that I can see that isn't obvious. I just skimmed the book, and I didn't find anything that would make me think "Wow, what great idea!"
