How to Heal a Blind Man

Please turn in your Bibles to John 9:1-41
Then will the eyes of the blind be opened
and the ears of the deaf unstopped.
6 Then will the lame leap like a deer,
and the mute tongue shout for joy. Isaiah 35:5-6
THE COMMON DENOMINATOR: JESUS (V 1-6)
GOD’S PART: Jesus, the Light of the world opens the eyes of the blind (V 5)
App: Which crowd are you: the “why”, the “whoa” or the “WOW”?
OUR PART: exercising simple faith unleashes real miracles (V 25-39)
App: Is your faith focus God or something less?
When Jesus spoke again to the people, He said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. John 8:12
What Causes Spiritual Blindness?
Some choose it
This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. John 3:19-20
Some bring it on by attitude
But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness; he does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded him. 1John 2:11
Sometimes the Devil takes eyes out
The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 2Corinthians 4:4
So, How Do You Heal a Blind Man?
Reject Darkness
9This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. John 3:19-20
Come to the Light
But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light…John 3:21a
Be the Light
But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen
plainly that what he has done has been done through God. John 3:21”
For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made His light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.
2Corinthians 4:6
