Episode 29:
How to Heal and Recover from an abusive relationship
Abusive relationships are some of the most common in society, with many people dealing with domestic violence and physical abuse within their own homes. Some cases of domestic abuse are never reported but this is a widespread problem which requires a collective solution of support and awareness.
Abuse is an ongoing pattern or cycle that takes many forms, including physical violence, intimidation, verbal assault, economic deprivation, sexual abuse or threats. It affects both men and women - one in three women are victims of abuse by an intimate partner at some point in their lifetime.
In an abusive relationship you feel like there is no escape, that you'll never be "compared" to anyone else again in your life. Sadly, the shame and guilt left behind after such a relationship can often make it difficult to go on with our lives afterwards.
Lindsay Donn Parks, is a Transformational Breakthrough Coach whose mission is to help as many women as possible to heal from the trauma of toxic relationships, find meaning and potential and build the life, business/career and relationship of their dreams. She is a trauma informed coach and an expert in discovering the way Narcissistic Abuse Trauma infiltrates every area of one’s life and being and then helping people to heal it, to thrive in the very best ways that they have always deserved.
Together with Lindsay, in this episode we are going to explore how people can face their abuser as well as healing from an abusive relationship.
