He emphasizes that each of these gifts is necessary for the body of Christ to be whole, and the best way to hear from God and activate our gifts is through persistent reading of the Bible.

He broadens our understanding of the gift of prophecy by highlighting the four prophetic spectrums: Roeh (the visionary or mobilization unction/anointing), Nabi (the inspirational or bubbling up), Chazah (to gaze), and Chozeh (to lean forward and peer into the future). He clarifies that each of these gifts applies to every individual in the body of Christ, though in varying degrees of prominence. Joseph also outlines the differences between the gift of prophecy and the office of the prophet, addressing the characteristics of true and false prophets.

Furthermore, he analyzes the gray area (novices) within the prophetic space, a valley of decision for those with prophetic gifts.
