How to honour the seasons that you are in

There is so much information about what works and doesn't work when it comes to setting goals, establishing daily routines, and maintaining discipline. However, what truly matters are the habits, routines, and practices that honor your energy and current stage in life. Sometimes, setting overly high expectations can do more harm than good, causing us to fall into a loop of self-betrayal when we give up and feel bad about it. The key is to be honest with yourself about what you can handle at this point in your life and grow from there.
Think about going to the gym for the first time. You wouldn’t use 25-pound weights for bicep curls if you can only lift 5 pounds. You have to work your way up. It's the same with breaking habits, setting and working towards goals, and choosing routines that best suit your needs. Start where you are, and gradually build from there.
